One out of five brides-to-be starts crying when she first tries on her wedding gown.

Wedding season is going into full swing. About one-third of weddings take place in the summertime, and one out of 10 happen in June, Bride’s magazine says. But before the big day comes the big search for the perfect wedding gown.

Brides try on an average of 12 gowns, with one out of every five brides trying on more than 21 dresses before finding “the gown.”

Millie Martini Bratten, editor-in-chief of Bride’s, led a bridal gown fashion show on Good Morning America, featuring the latest looks from bridal gown fashion shows.

Here are details on the styles that appeared on Good Morning America.

The Classic Ladylike Look: Strapless hand-embroidered beaded lace bodice with full organza skirt. David’s Bridal, Oleg Cassini Collection.(davidsbridal.com) Price: $900, special order only.

The Frilly Look: Silk-satin princess line dress featuring Empire waist with Swarovski beaded detail at bodice and feathered detail on skirt. From Michelle Roth (michelleroth.com.) Price: $4,150

The Opulent Look: Silk-satin strapless ball gown with full-front A-line skirt with gold embroidered bodice and back train appliqué. The back train gold embroidered appliqué features two birds kissing at the top and in their mouths are small turquoise stones. The turquoise stones are a good luck custom and are also that “something blue.” From Reem Acra (reemacra.com) Price: $7,900.
